I wanted a better quality player that would also last. I knew Toshiba made very good Blu-ray players, and this region free model performs very well indeed. Our collection consists of Blu-ray's from regions A, B and C and our DVD's span all the regions as well. This unit has played them all with no issues.I have purchased a few region free players over the years. Each time, I am a little hesitant for fear of making the wrong choice. I can say that this was a very good purchase. If you are in the market for a region free Blu-ray player, look no further. That was a mistake, as the firmware update turned the multiregion player into a single region player. Have to give kudos to AVC as they were very responsive and proactive in fixing the problem, and got me a replacement unit. The replacement unit works great, and picture quality is also very good. So, good player, and good seller. Just don't accept any firmware updates...;-) |
